From one automated task to a full platform.

AI implementation services for small and mid-sized companies: workflow automation, integration with the systems you already have, custom AI and software, and a fractional Head of AI to lead it. Fixed fee, quoted in writing.

Arvanu is Michael Kilty's practice in Tallinn, Estonia, helping small and mid-sized companies across Europe put AI to work. He offers four services: AI implementation (one real task working in about four weeks), workflow automation and integration with the systems a company already has, custom AI and software development (from internal tools and AI agents to full platforms), and fractional Head of AI leadership. One person scopes, builds and checks the work, with a person in your team approving what matters. Every project is a fixed fee, quoted in writing.

AI implementation services: four ways I help

I build and ship software with AI, and I stay until your team uses it. The four services below run from the simplest to the most complex. Most companies start with the first one.

AI implementation

One real task, working in about four weeks. We find the task together, I build it on your own documents and rules, and we hand it over to your team.

For example:

  • enquiry replies drafted from your own answers
  • proposals drafted from call notes
  • monthly report drafts

Best if you've tried ChatGPT and nothing has changed.

How a first project runs →

Workflow automation and integration

I connect the systems you already have, like email, your CRM, accounting, spreadsheets and your website, so work stops being retyped. AI is added where drafting or judgement helps, and a person approves what matters.

For example:

  • a new enquiry logged in the CRM, with a proposal draft started on your template
  • invoices matched to purchase orders, with mismatches flagged
  • one approved change carried into every place it appears

Best if the same data is typed into three places.

Workflow automation and integration →

Custom AI and software development

When off-the-shelf tools can't follow your rules, I build what can: internal tools, portals, AI agents with approval steps, and full platforms.

For example:

  • a website and broker portal for a yacht brokerage (client, live)
  • a healthcare platform for patients, prescribers, clinics and pharmacies (my own venture, in development)
  • a quoting tool that follows your own price rules (illustrative)

Best if your process is what makes you different.

Custom AI and software development →

Fractional Head of AI

A Head of AI for a few days a month, who also builds. I take care of priorities, tool and supplier choices, delivery and training, and I build the projects we agree on.

For example:

  • a monthly review of priorities with you
  • tool and supplier decisions made with you
  • training, so your team can run what we build

Best if you need one person to own AI.

Fractional Head of AI →

From a quick win to a full platform

Most companies start at the first or second step. Some need the fifth. You only move up when the step below is working.

  1. Step 1
Find it.An AI opportunity review: which tasks are worth doing first, and which aren't.Quick win (optional add-on to the review). I set up the AI tools you already pay for, with templates and a short handover. Quoted in writing.
  2. Step 2
One workflow, end to end.One task from the moment it starts to the finished output. AI drafts and a person approves.
  3. Step 3
Connected systems.Several systems kept in step from one approved record.
  4. Step 4
Custom AI tool or agent.A purpose-built tool, portal or agent with its own rules and checks.
  5. Step 5
Platform or product build.Software for several roles and several languages, built in phases and tested.
  6. Step 6
Run and improve.A fractional Head of AI keeps priorities, adoption and the next build moving.

Larger builds are phased, and I lead and build them. Each phase has its own fixed fee, quoted in writing, and you can stop at any decision point.

Not sure which step you're on? That's what the 15-minute call is for.

Who does the work

You deal with me from the first call to the day your team uses what we built. There's no junior team and no hand-off.

I set up and build what's needed, directing AI to do the technical work. Your people bring what matters most: how the work is really done.

A consultant usually advises and an agency usually builds. I do both, as one person, and I stay until your team uses it.

I've spent 27 years on the business side of technology. I was Director of IT at Warner Music Group in Los Angeles, worked on NBC's Olympic operations in Athens, and have been Head of AI at Healthview AI since 2021.

About Michael

What every project includes

  • A fixed fee, quoted in writing, before anything starts. The same proposal states software costs and who holds the accounts.
  • A person in your team approves anything that matters. AI drafts, and people decide.
  • Checks built in: rules for each output, tests on real and awkward examples, and my own review.
  • A named owner, written instructions and handover training for the people who will use it.
  • You own the code, workflows and data built for your business. Account ownership, licences and support are set out in the proposal. Support after launch is as agreed in the engagement.

Two builds you can look at

“I don't know very much about technology, but I can certainly see the excellent result, and the care you've put into helping [the business] grow.”

The two industries are very different, but the method is the same. Each piece of content comes from one approved source, each step has an owner, and a person approves what matters.

How it starts

Step 1

A 15-minute call (free).

You tell me about one task your team hates doing. We work out whether AI can take it on and what a sensible first step would be.

Step 2

A short written proposal.

Scope, timing, the fee or monthly retainer, software costs, who owns the accounts and what support is included, on one or two pages.

Step 3

We start.

On a date that suits your team, with a named owner on your side from day one.

How we work

Questions

What services does Arvanu offer?

Four: AI implementation, workflow automation and integration, custom AI and software development, and a fractional Head of AI. They run from one automated task to a full platform. All of them are for small and mid-sized companies, and every project is a fixed fee, quoted in writing.

Do we need to replace our current systems?

Usually not. We start with the tools you already have, connect them, and add AI where it helps. Sometimes a clearer process or a feature in a tool you already pay for is enough. Any new software is discussed and agreed before a build starts.

Are you a consultant or an agency?

Neither, quite. I'm one senior person who advises and builds. I set up and build what's needed, directing AI to do the technical work, and I stay until your team uses what we build. You deal with me throughout, with no hand-off to a junior team.

How much does it cost?

Every review and project is a fixed fee, quoted in writing before anything starts. Fractional work is a monthly retainer sized to the days you need. The proposal also states software costs and who holds the accounts. There's no hourly billing.

Who owns what you build?

You own the code, workflows and data built for your business. Account ownership, licences and support are set out in the proposal, so before we start it's clear which accounts and third-party software are yours and who looks after what.

What happens after launch?

A named person in your team owns it day to day, with written instructions and handover training. Support after launch is as agreed in the engagement. If you want ongoing help with priorities and the next build, that can continue under a fractional Head of AI retainer.

Where are you based?

In Tallinn, Estonia. I work with companies across Europe, in English. The work is mostly remote, from Tallinn, and any on-site visits are agreed in the proposal. The first call is free and takes 15 minutes.
